Located in a 16-story high-rise building in the historic downtown theatre district of Boston, two blocks from the Boston Public Garden, the Boston Renaissance Charter Public School is unique! Educating children from 10 different neighborhoods of Boston and serving 1,205 students, Renaissance is the largest charter public school in Boston and a favored choice for parents. Renaissance utilized the Carnegie "school-within-a-school" model and houses three schools in one facility: the Kinder School, the Primary School, and the Elementary School. Each school is autonomous and managed by a Principal and an Instructional Leadership Team.

  • Renaissance was recognized for significant improvement on reading test scores, receiving an $823,000 grant from the Department of Education.
  • Students practice reading and math on mobile wireless computer labs that travel from classroom to classroom.
  • Teachers report to school up to two weeks earlier than their students for intensive professional development.
  • Every Renaissance student participates in one hour of music, art, dance or physical education every day.
